Arts on Main

Not only is Arts on Main an excellent art gallery located right on Main Street, it is also the host of numerous art classes ranging from drawing and sketching to working with oil paints and more. For those more artistically inclined than others, Art on Main also offers a residency program which can be found on their website.

The Poddery

The Poddery’s showroom is filled with functional pottery, decorative tiles, sculptural wall pieces, drawer pulls, bird houses and Chesapeake Bay Wildlife themed pottery. All of our functional pottery is Microwave, Dishwasher and Oven Safe. Weekly kiln firings constantly produce new work for the Podd’s extensive showroom.

Queens Creek Studios

Queens Creek Studios is part of the Made in Mathews Open Studio Tour and the Virginia Artist Trail. I welcome visitors to my Studio & Gallery year round. Just call for an appointment.

Essex County Museum

The Essex County Museum, founded in 1996, and the Essex County Historical Society joined forces in 2006 to celebrate the heritage of the town, county, river and its people. Exhibits include pre-historic through modern displays of life in Essex.

Tappahannock Art Gallery

Tappahannock Art Gallery is your local center for art in the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck. A cooperative gallery of the Tappahannock Artists’ Guild.
